Wayne Fortin

Mr. Wayne Fortin is a mental health professional who has worked in the community mental health field for over 30 years.

In 1985, he founded the trauma Intervention Program (TIP) in San Diego County and in 1995 Mr. Fortin established TIP of Orange County.

Today, Mr. Fortin continues to lead the Trauma Intervention Programs, Inc. and TIP of Orange County.  He oversees 15 regional Chapters which serve over 75 cities, 100 hospitals, 67 police departments, and 55 fire departments.

In April 2000, Mr. Fortin received the 2000 Crime Victim Service Award from Attorney General Janet Reno.  This award is considered the highest federal award for victim advocates.


 
Debbie Simpson

Debbie Simpson, Crisis Team Manager

Ms. Simpson has been the Crisis Team Manager with TIP of Orange County for over 4 years.  In this position she is responsible for the day to day operation of the crisis response team including Critical Incident Responders.  Ms. Simpson manages over 100 TIP volunteers who respond to on average 90 calls per month.  Before becoming the Crisis Team Manager Ms. Simpson was a TIP volunteer who responded to many tragic events to assist emotionally traumatized citizens.


 

Pat Cahill, Administrative Assistant

Ms. Cahill worked in the private sector as an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years.  She joined TIP of Orange County in 2007 as a TIP Volunteer  and became the organization’s Administrative Assistant in 2010.  Currently Ms. Cahill’s responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, briefing emergency agencies and assisting with the Heroes with Heart Dinner.
